Zain Strategic Partner of sixth Ideal Mother Award

Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced its strategic partnership of the sixth consecutive edition of the Ideal Mother Award. The event, organized by Al Kharafi Activity Kids Center, aimed at shedding light on the distinguished efforts exerted by mothers of children with mental disabilities. The event came under the patronage and attendance of Chairman of Sanad Kuwaiti Foundation for Disabled Children Sabeeka Al Jaser, as well as the attendance of Honorary President of Kuwait Disabled Sports Club Shaikha Shaikha Abdullah Al Sabah, and Award Director and President of Al Kharafi Activity Kids Center Aisha Al Salem.

 

Zain’s strategic partnership of this annual event comes in line with its support of the various social causes that are of interest to all segments of the society, especially within the special needs sector. The company is keen on reinforcing its partnerships with the many public and private entities that cater to people with special needs and their families within the local community all year round.

 

The Ideal Mother Award, held for the sixth consecutive year, mainly aimed at shedding light and recognizing the most distinguished and dedicated individual efforts of mothers who care for and develop their children with mental disabilities. The organizing committee honored 18 distinguished mothers from across Kuwait, the GCC during the special event held at Jumeirah Hotel.

 

Zain constantly shoulders initiatives that work towards enhancing the society’s welfare, especially within the special needs sector. Zain’s long-term cooperation with the various private and public entities that cater to people with special needs springs from its belief in the importance of having a positive print by supporting and launching initiatives that cater to various interests of the community.

 

Zain dedicates a great part of its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy towards people with special needs. The company recently participated in a special event organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in celebration of the Arab Day of People with Special Needs. During the event, Zain organized a number of recreational activities to share the joys of this day with people with special needs and their families. The company also recently sponsored the seventh annual RunKuwait charity marathon organized by Fawzia Sultan Healthcare Network (FSHN) and aimed at supporting children with special needs in Kuwait. Zain also regularly conducts visits to social care centers during multiple seasons all year round.
