Zain sponsors first Student Excellence Program in California

Company recognized distinguished Kuwaiti students studying in USA

Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its main sponsorship of the first Student Excellence Program organized by Sema, a non-profit organization, in collaboration with the General Consulate of Kuwait in Los Angeles. The event, held in Silicon Valley - California, came under the patronage and attendance of H.E. the Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Los Angeles Faisal Al Houli.

 

During the event, Chief Executive Officer of Zain Kuwait Eaman Al Roudhan recognized a number of distinguished Kuwaiti students studying in the United States. The recognition ceremony witnessed the presence of H.E. the Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Los Angeles Faisal Al Houli, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, and Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Communications and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti.

 

Zain’s support to the event came in line with its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy, which closely focuses on contributing to the development of the education sector and the encouragement of various student activities. The company partners with many organizations, including student bodies, to invest in education, which is considered an essential element of the further progress of national economy. 

 

Eaman Al Roudhan’s recognition of distinguished Kuwaiti students studying in the United States came to highlight their excellence in a number of fields, including science, arts, sports, volunteering, and more. The event also witnessed many activities, including panel discussions featuring the distinguished students who shared their achievements and ideas with the attendees.
