As part of company’s Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy

Kuwait – 13 December, 2018

Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, sponsored a special event organized by the Public Authority of the Disabled on the occasion of the International and Arab Day of People with Special Needs. The event, held at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor’s Social Care Centers, came under the patronage and presence of the Director General of the Public Authority of the Disabled Dr. Shafiqa Al Awadhi.

Zain is keen on supporting such activities all-year round  as part of its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy towards people with special needs. The company will spare no efforts to take part in initiatives that celebrate the capabilities of people with special needs and their families and raise awareness about their cause within the community.

During the event, Zain organized a number of recreational activities to share the joys of this day with people with special needs and their families. The company was keen on contributing to making this event a success to celebrate the capabilities of people with special needs and empower them within the society.

Zain dedicates a great part of its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy towards people with special needs, including its support to the annual RunKuwait charity marathon organized by Fawzia Sultan Healthcare Network (FSHN) aimed at supporting children with special needs in Kuwait. The company is also the strategic partner of the annual Ideal Mother Award organized by Al Kharafi Activity Kids Center aimed at shedding light on the distinguished efforts of mothers of children with mental disabilities. The company also regularly conducts visits to social care centers during multiple seasons all-year round.

Zain constantly finds ways to shoulder initiatives that work towards enhancing the society’s welfare. Zain’s long-term cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor as well as other public entities springs from its belief in the importance of having a positive print in the society by sponsoring and launching initiatives that cater to various interests of the community.
