Zain embraces young people, fosters their creative talents

Company awarded winners of 3rd season of ‘SpeakUp Kuwait’

Kuwait - 01 May 2024

Zain joined in awarding the winners of SpeakUp Kuwait, the training initiative that empowers young people to pursue their aspirations and fosters their creative talents. The company participated in the closing ceremony, held at Yarmouk Cultural Center, as part of its main sponsorship of the program for the third year running in collaboration with the Youth Public Authority.

The closing ceremony was attended by H.E. Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and Minister of State for Communications Dawood Marafi, Acting Director General of the Youth Public Authority Nasser Al Shaikh, Zain Kuwait Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti, Zain Kuwait Corporate Relations Department Manager Hamad Al Musaibeeh, and SpeakUp Kuwait Founder Dina Al Wuhaib.

During the event, Zain joined the judges panel that evaluated and selected the winners after hearing the finalists’ presentations. The company’s participation came as part of its ongoing support to SpeakUp Kuwait since its inception three years ago, as it believes in the program’s mission to empower Kuwait’s youth by developing their creative skills, offering them an environment that embraces their talents, and encouraging them to pursue their passions and aspirations.

Throughout the program’s third season that started late last year, the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) hosted all of SpeakUp Kuwait’s training sessions. The program targeted students and fresh graduates, and offered them the space to express themselves, promote their ideas, and engage in public speaking training sessions.

SpeakUp Kuwait worked to enhance and develop a wide range of personal skills that are equally important to technical skills in any successful career. The skills included public speaking, emotional intelligence, communication, along with social, management, business, and professional skills. The program featured mentors, experts, and influencers who shared their experiences with the students.

In its previous seasons, SpeakUp Kuwait achieved great success, having featured many notable talented names from the local community to share their experiences and skills with the young participants. Zain also took the opportunity to sit down with the students, listen to their thoughts, and inspire them to pursue their passions.
