Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its silver sponsorship of the 10th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Kuwait Branch (IEEE) GCC Conference and Exhibition, the 2nd Student Forum, and the Women in Engineering (WiE) Forum. The event was held at the Regency Hotel under the patronage of H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah.

 

Zain took part in the event’s opening ceremony, which witnessed the attendance of the representative of H.H. the Prime Minister H.E. Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Dr. Jenan Ramadan, Honorary President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Kuwait Branch (IEEE) Abdulrahman Al Ghunaim, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Communications and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti, as well as many officials, students, and professionals from various engineering and technical fields.

 

Zain’s support to this event came in line with its keenness on being an active participant in the various local and regional projects that contribute to shouldering and advancing national economy, being a leading national company in the Kuwaiti private sector. The event offered many opportunities for exchanging experiences across local and regional levels in specialized areas related to electrical and electronic engineering. Zain took part in the event by participating in a panel discussion, where the company showcased its leading experience in various technical areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, innovative solutions for smart cities, and more.

 

The 10th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Kuwait Branch (IEEE) GCC Conference and Exhibition, the 2nd Student Forum, and the Women in Engineering (WiE) Forum mainly aimed at offering the opportunity for exchanging experiences in the latest and most advanced technologies around the world in multiple specialized fields. Such fields included clean and alternative energy, nanotechnology, electrical and AC services networks in new residential areas, green and smart buildings, cybersecurity, using advanced technology in medical and social fields, and more.
