Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its partnership with the National Safe Education Campaign (Safe Education), which comes in joint collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Information. The campaign aims at raising public awareness of the necessary health and traffic safety measures on the occasion of the new academic year, which started this year with physical attendance in classes.

Zain’s partnership with this awareness campaign comes in line with its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy, through which the company renews its support to the various public entities in the nation to adopt many similar initiatives and programs that serve the community and contributes to public health and safety.

Commenting on the partnership, Chief Corporate Communication and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti said: “Today we are pleased to announce our partnership and support of the Safe Education campaign in collaboration with four different ministries to mark the beginning of the new academic year. This partnership is nothing short of a clear reflection of the active collaboration between the nation’s public and private sectors towards the common interest of protecting the health and safety of everyone”.

Al Khashti continued: “With the new academic year resuming physical attendance in classes after 18 long months due to the pandemic, it is very important to communicate with students and their parents to raise awareness of the important health measures they have to follow to ensure their safety. Moreover, we also believe it is crucial to spread important instructions related to traffic safety and other general guidelines. That’s why we were keen on utilizing our various media channels to serve the goals of this campaign”.

Al Khashti concluded: “At Zain, we are committed to supporting the country’s various developmental plans to achieve social, health, and security goals, as we represent the Kuwaiti private sector. For this, we are proud to be among the first companies to collaborate with the government to make this campaign a success. We hope this initiative contributes to protecting everyone involved”.

Assistant General Director of the General Department of Public Relations and Media Security at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Abdulelah Al Abdulsalam, commented: “Safe Education aims at reaching out to students, parents, and everyone working at educational institutions. The campaign comes in collaboration with our colleagues at the ministries of Health, Education, and Information, and each entity has a role to spread their message, including health measures, traffic safety guidelines, and other guidelines with the collective aim of raising awareness and achieving a safer education environment”.

Al Abdulsalam continued: “I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to making this campaign a reality. I’d also like to thank Zain for joining forces with us to make this initiative a success and contribute to a safer education environment for everyone. I wish all the best of luck to our students and hope they stay safe”.

Zain’s support to this initiative comes in line with its keenness on supporting all efforts that serve the nation, reflecting Kuwait’s deep-rooted values. The company’s participation in the campaign affirms its role in achieving social sustainability and the role of the private sector within the local community.
