FAQ Section

All your questions, answered!

Streaming means playing music via the internet without having to download it first. This gives you instant access to millions of songs. All you have to do is hit play.

Premium has benefits that give you more control over the music. For example, you can download music to play offline when you don’t have an internet connection. You can also play any song, any time you like, without shuffling or skipping. There are no ads, and the sound’s better, too (320 kbps, to be precise).

1GB of data gives you around 17 hours of music. But you can enjoy much more music than that with our data-saving tips:
– Listen over WiFi whenever you can.
– Download music when you have WiFi, then listen offline when you don’t (you’ll need Spotify Premium for this. You can download up to 10,000 songs per device on up to 5 different devices.)
– If you’re streaming over 3G or 4G, set the audio quality to Normal.

In simple terms, Offline Mode means listening without using the internet. In Offline Mode, you can play songs you’ve downloaded to your device without using up any of your data. To do this, you’ll need to download some music first while you’re online. (You can download up to 10,000 songs per device with Spotify Premium.) You just need to go online once every 30 days to keep all your offline music.

You’ll receive a text message with step-by-step instructions.

Please contact 107.

If you’ve already received Spotify for free, we’ll upgrade your existing account. We’ll send you instructions over text message to get this set up.

Option #1 (if the customer needs to cancel their Premium)

Yes, but it’s straightforward. Just go to Spotify.com and log in. Then go to Account and hit Cancel. If you’ve already paid for the coming month of Premium, your subscription will continue until your next payment is due. At this point, your subscription will end, and you can redeem the offer through us. We suggest you remember this date when you cancel so you can redeem the offer immediately and continue to enjoy Premium without interruption.

Option #2 (if the customer is not eligible for a Premium trial):

In this case, you can only get a free Premium upgrade if you’ve never tried Premium before. You can either a) keep your existing account and start paying for Premium through us or b) create a new account to redeem the offer. Remember that if you create a new account, you cannot transfer over your saved music from the old account.

Your account will automatically switch to standard Spotify Premium at the end of your upgrade. This will appear on your monthly bill. You can cancel anytime by logging in to the account you have with us and canceling it from your additional services there.

You can reset your password at Spotify.com/password-reset.

Log in to your Spotify account, go to Edit Profile, and update your email address.

We can’t move Premium to a new account once it’s been set up. Please make sure you upgrade the correct Spotify account from the start.

Make sure you’re logging in to the Spotify account that you upgraded. So, if you upgraded to Premium on your computer, use the same username and password to log in on mobile or tablet. If that doesn’t work, try logging out and back in. If that doesn’t help, contact Spotify’s customer service at support.spotify.com to check your account status.

This means you created an additional account at some point and have logged into that by mistake. To get back to your usual account, log out and then log in with your regular username or email address.

Spotify works on iPhone 3GS and above, iPad 2 and above, Android phones from version 4, and Windows 8 and above. BlackBerry and Symbian phones are not supported.

You can get Spotify on some TVs and set-top boxes from brands like Bang & Olufsen, Boxee, Google Chromecast, LG, Philips, and Samsung (check with the manufacturer if you’re unsure). Using the mobile app, you can also play Spotify Premium in most newer cars. Connect your phone to the car stereo using the auxiliary jack or Bluetooth. Also, some cars offer Spotify as part of their dashboard for both Free and Premium users (including certain models of BMW, MINI, Tesla and Volvo).

Start by checking your internet connection. If that doesn’t help, try the time-honored classic of logging out and back in again. Failing that, you could reinstall Spotify. This will give you the latest version, so it’s likely to fix any issues you’ve been experiencing. Finally, you can always go to support.spotify.com or community.spotify.com for troubleshooting tips.

Spotify’s Customer Service team are always happy to help. You’ll find them at support.spotify.com
